Be All You Can Be---Just not in the Army

The army posted their list earlier than their May 1 date, and by all indications, Eli was not selected. He's not received any official notification, but omission is really enough. So, he leaves after work today to interview with the Coast Guard in New Orleans on Monday. He has also started pursuing other leads, federal clerkships and whatnot. We're open for global mobilization, so don't be surprised if we end up in Alaska, Iowa, Puerto Rico, Timbuktu, or some other interesting place.

Eli is a little the outcome of his Army application, so if you would continue to lift him up in your prayers. Also, I'm alone for the weekend -- until Eli gets back on Tuesday -- so I hope that I don't go into labor while Eli is six hours away!

That really stinks...I am sure the candidate pool is more than talented now, since so many people are out of work. Really talented people are seeking employment and competition is tough. Craig had to interview people this week for a position at work and within three days, more than 70 people had applied and he said they were all really qualified.

Eli will end up where he is supposed to...and he should just keep trying! Apply, and apply again! I used this site to search for DoD jobs when I left the air force. I still get emails from them when a job pops up.
