Happy Anniversary

Today marks five years of being married. It has flown by, for sure. It doesn't feel like Eli and I have been together for almost 8 years. So weird.

Traditionally, the fifth anniversary is the wood anniversary. We're going out to dinner tonight. Maybe the table and chairs will be made of wood.

I'm starting to feel old. :)

Try as I might...

Well, this has been a trying week. A trying week, indeed.

I don't want to go into a whole lot of detail, but I will say that I'm in dire need of some physical therapy for my quadriceps on both legs (ouch) and that I'm looking for a job for next year. Any ideas?

So, this is the point where I enlist the prayer team. Pray that we find our next adventure, and that we can discern God's will for our lives. And pray that I can get over this work-aholism. Really it's more of a hobby-aholism. Or maybe it's just my-incessant-need-to-do-too-much-aholism.

Oh, yeah. And pray that I can get my classroom packed in a reasonable amount of time. Ugh.

Call backs were okay. I didn't do as well as I know I could. But, that's okay. The cast list was posted today.

I got a chorus part (secretary) and am extremely thrilled about it. I'm actually quite surprised that several people who are trained dancers didn't get parts. But whatever favors were called in on behalf of my work ethic and enthusiasm, thank you. I have something to do with my time this summer! Yay!

Two days until Eli graduates from law school.

And then begins the summer bar exam cramming.

Call Backs

Eli decided not to audition for The Book Voice because it would interfere with Paw-Paw's 75th birthday party. Oh, well.

I got call backs for Rosemary and Smitty. I hate that I can't tell how good or bad I am. Part of me thinks this is a result of Tina's influence (which I don't really mind), and then there's a part of me that entertains a hope that I have a shot.

Crossing fingers. Breaking legs.

The cast list will be posted tomorrow.

Theatre Stuff

I'm in the last week of the production I'm stage managing. We'll be done Sunday afternoon. So, only 5 more performances.

Last night I auditioned for the summer musical. I think it went okay, but I'm not crossing my fingers. The singing went well, the acting okay, and dancing was less than okay. But, to my credit, I was one of the oldest people trying out last night. In fact, I think there were only 2 people older than me. Tonight's crowd should be larger, and it should have more old folks. Haha.

I hope I get a part.

I would love to come for call-backs tomorrow night. EB
