At the beginning of the summer, we signed up for some summer activities through Parks and Rec. This week was I [Heart] Art Camp. O went in excitedly every day, and was tickled to death that there was another boy with the same name in the class. E, on the other hand, was true to her summer personality crisis. After the first day, she told me she wasn't going back. The second day, she told me she was shy (ha!) and wanted me to hold her hand and walk her in. The third day she reported, "My teacher made me paint." The fourth day she informed me that she was just going to sit with me in the lobby, but luckily they had started the day's project the class before, so I said, "Don't you want to know why you painted that paper red all over?" She did, so she went in. And then Friday was the Art Show. O dragged me along so that I could see his work, but we kept having to track down E. So, here is their work:
Cheers.

Cow Appreciation 2014
Yesterdya, for the first time since 2011, we were finally able to get dressed up for Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. We had a good time, and I definitely have a cute herd of cows.
Gladys, unsure about the ears.

2 Month Doctor Checkup
We went for G's 2-month appointment today. By "we" I mean me, G, E, & O. They haven't really been to the doctor when they weren't the patient, so they were very curious about what the nurse did to G (weigh [13.2 pounds], measure length and head circumference, give shots) and wanted to know why she didn't get a sticker when she left, haha.
Elsie shows off her haircut.
Gladys says with her smile, "This isn't so bad."
"Hey, who's watching me?"
Oscar want to be in the shot, too.
And then he stole the camera from me... So here's an Oscar-eye view:

And while it looks like we were having fun, this was shortly followed by an Elsie meltdown about something ridiculous as we were leaving the office. We're the Beavers. We bring the party with us.
Cheers.

July 2014 Debt Update
Do not go back and look for the June 2014 Debt Update, because it does not exist. In May, we made a minuscule payment on loans (<$25), and after we paid for repairs on two cars, we bought a computer. No worries, though, June came and, in addition to our regular monthly payment, we were able to make a massive payment on loans ($3500) due to long-term disability insurance payment. As I'm writing this, we have just over $7300 left to pay off loans. No kidding!!
Fifth 10K Chunk, started 4/17/14
And, with six months left to go this year, we have a plan for getting the rest of Eli's undergrad loans out the door. This is a very exciting time for us!
My one concern this month is with envelope money, and only because I've set a precedent the last two years in July by losing my envelope money that was still in the bank envelope (2012) and the entire envelope system (2013). I guess this is what happens when I'm left at home without a routing for a couple of months, haha. Here's hoping I can break this horrid curse and have a good month!
Cheers!
